Brian Czarny has been tapped as SVP of marketing at geo-data platform Factual, as the company seeks to build its brand globally amid a period of rising demand for location intelligence and competition.
Factual has been promising clients such as Facebook, Uber, Bing, Apple Maps, and others greater contextual information about locations and the activity at those places with its Observation Graph, which is designed to buttress the company’s Geopulse Audience offering. That product is part of Factual’s umbrella product, Global Places, which gathers data covering over 100 million local businesses and points of interest in 50 countries.
That tool also provided Factual with the occasion to extend its WPP Group data partnership with Xaxis, which has been testing the Observation Graph on behalf of agency clients.
In addition to helping Factual’s brand become more well-known, Czarny is also expected to strengthen the company’s alliances with programmatic platforms as well as clients.
Prior to joining Factual, Czarny was the SVP of Marketing at TeleSign, a messaging, voice, and data verification platform, where he oversaw all marketing for the company through its acquisition by BICS in April 2017.
Before that,Czarny was VP of Marketing and Product for cloud-based identity and access management provider Symplified, until its purchase by RSA in July 2014, and has previously held senior management positions with security companies Webroot and MessageLabs (now Symantec).
