Analytics tech veteran Gayle Fuguitt has left her post as CEO/president of the Advertising Research Foundation to become Foursquare’s chief of customer insights and innovation.
The newly created post calls for Fuguitt to “develop and execute our go-to-market strategy for enterprise products,” including Pinpoint, Attribution and Place Insights, said Foursquare President Steven Rosenblatt.
Before heading the ARF, which is represents 400 agencies, brands, and media companies and their respective research arms, Fuguitt spent 32 years at consumer packaged good giant General Mills. Her most recent role there was as VP, Global Consumer Insights.
“Gayle has spent her entire career turning information into insights and actions that drive successful business results,”Rosenblatt said in a blog post. “As Foursquare continues to accelerate, Gayle will help us meet the needs and asks from our partners.
“Every day we hear from CMOs, assistant media planners, agency account managers and many others that brands need to reinvent marketing strategies in a mobile world rife with data,” he added. “Companies are rethinking how to better target, reach, measure and plan their businesses and Gayle will be able to help them with Foursquare’s cutting-edge solutions.”
